Chase Waller is the 23-year-old singer/songwriter behind the moniker El Rocko. A native of Savannah, Georgia, Waller relocated to Chattanooga after college, where he teaches high-school History and English at a private boarding school. Though he has been writing songs for most of his life, Waller started creating music under the alias "El Rocko" when he was a college student, performing solo shows at school festivals and in Chattanooga's independent music scene. Now, El Rocko has become the newest addition to Yellow Racket's roster, with plans to release a full-length album in the coming year.

Heavily influenced by 90s alt-rock and 80s pop rock, El Rocko’s music combines ragged guitars and lush synths with simple, honest lyrics to produce dreamy and dynamic songs. Drawing inspiration from bands like The Outfield, Built to Spill, Radiohead, and Duster, El Rocko’s songs feel like the perfect backdrop for a slow dance in a high school gym or a house party where nobody loses their cool.
