Band / Artist

Ry Glover has the unique distinction of having probably played more gigs at locally-owned, specialty outdoor stores than any other person in the country. His musical trajectory is essentially this: He learned he could sing at the ripe age of 9 while doing a report on Elvis Presley that required him to give a presentation in front of the class where he slicked back his hair, wore bowling shoes, and belted a 5-song medley of The King's music. He picked up his first guitar at age 15. He played some open mic nights and opening gigs around Chattanooga at places like Tremont Tavern, the Mud Pie, the Camp House, and others, as well as some open mics a little farther afield at places like Atlanta's famous Eddie's Attic and Nashville's equally renowned Bluebird Cafe. He vaguely held onto the dream of music during college, but once the post-undergraduate world hit, he began working for a company in the outdoor industry, which to come full circle, transitively opened the door for him to play music at roughly 100 pint night events in outdoor stores across the country.

*He now has an uncanny knack for unearthing electrical outlets in the shoe departments of these stores.
