I have been playing guitar since I was nine and a half years old, and singing for as long as I can remember.I have been teaching guitar (51 years at present) almost as long as I've been playing. My main genre is acoustic folk music, though I have some contemporary and rock influence as well. I love bluegrass and traditional country as well as classical (not so much much modern) and Jazz (again, not so much modern). I have played in coffee shops, restaurants, open air venues, and churches. I have a You Tube channel with more than 3,000 subscribers, and I've made several recordings of songs I have collected and written through the years. I was born and raised in southern California, and moved to northern California when I left home at 18. I moved to Tennessee when I was 30 years old in 1986, and have lived here ever since.
