Southern influences run deep; James has paid his dues, drifting the southeast, developing his heartfelt style. Being raised on Bob Seger, AC/DC, and Dire Straits, his influences definitely stem from deeply rooted rock motifs with a touch of experimental vibes. His live performances are emotional, passionionate and embody the phrase "heart and soul."

Supplementing a vast catalog of memorable originals with unique renditions of popular covers, his setlist

and thought-provoking lyrics often stay with you long after the show has concluded.

Sadly, James was diagnosed with leukemia and spends much time fighting the disease... but, he is still and will remain so without waiver. When he isn't performing, he is publishing original music by local independent artists via of his organization Town Square Music Group.

He is also establishing a nonprofit group to help those in the arts, regardless of discipline, during times of distress. The Town Square Creative Collective works to help end homelessness, especially for those that are coping with life-threatening or chronic illnesses.
