The Briars
The Briars are a two guitar, two vocal duo, featuring Robert Lovett and Jerris Schmidt. The two both sing lead and harmony, which gives a beautiful male/female blend, and their dual guitars provide intricate texture to their roots based songs. They also both play percussion, with Robert on the suitcase kick drum, and Jerris on the foot tamborine. They write both separately and in collaboration. It is a true labor of love, and one cannot help but hear it.
