Mountain Creek House Fire

This duo has covered a lot of ground since its inception. Robert Lovett and Pattee Wilbanks, playing original Americana, are a noteworthy songwriting team. Robert, a Texas-born singer/songwriter with an Americana style, recorded two solo CDs, influenced by bluegrass and country blues. Coming to Chattanooga via Texas, Nashville, and Knoxville, his home is now the Scenic City. Pattee, performing in Chattanooga since the mid-'80s in various folk and bluegrass bands, plays guitar, mandolin, clawhammer banjo, and sings. She writes personal songs with compelling melodies. With different, but complementary, styles, they have been to radio, tv, coffee houses, restaurants, festivals, and concert venues including Nightfall, River City Sessions, Woodsongs Dalton, and in 2017, Riverbend. Passion for Americana pushes their creativity and is a fine example of home grown Tennessee music. Writer Joshua Pickard stated, they "have tapped into some universal truths concerning loss and love, and given us a brief but pointed look into their hearts." Journalist Patrick Filbin, said their music is, "... sincere and personal as it is universally relatable. " Their EP, "Can't Be Where I Am", and albums, "Listen Local", and "The Heart of Living", are testament that heart, soul, and hard work add up to great Americana..
