Counsel for Creatives: Grief, Mental Health, and More

The Chattanooga music community has lost a number of vibrant lives this year. Barking Legs Theater has opened their doors on Monday, July 23 at 6:30 p.m. for the community to get together in a safe space to heal, have frank conversations about the serious issues that plague our creative community, and learn about resources available for help in processing grief, anger, depression, and loss.

6:30 p.m. – Doors Open, settle in.

6:45 p.m. – Introduction to the process, expectations set by therapist Jacqui Casey.

7:00 p.m. – Open floor for a few dedications, thoughts, readings by community members.

7:15 p.m. – Therapist-led discussion.

7:45 p.m. – Open floor for a few more dedications, special performances, thoughts, and readings by community members.

8:00 p.m. – Closing thoughts on next steps and the future of this effort.

8:15 p.m. – connection to resources, sign-ups for individual sessions with licensed therapists, networking.

9:00 p.m. – Event concludes.
