Promote Your Show with the Food Bank blog
September is National Hunger Action Month and the Chattanooga Area Food Bank reached out to SoundCorps to see if we could encourage our local music community to get involved in the cause.
If any local musicians have a concert scheduled in the Chattanooga area (they cover 20 counties) in the month of September and want to help the Chattanooga Area Food Bank bring in more food for the hungry folks in our community, please consider reaching out to them about taking up a food donation at your show.
They are also putting together a calendar for all related events scheduled in the month of September, so it could be a great way to highlight your performance.
Just like any other thing you get behind, if you decide to help them out, please promote that you are doing this so that it will indeed make a difference and that your friends and fans will know to bring food items to the show. There are 144,330 people in our area that do not know how they are getting their next meal, and your action could make a huge difference!
Email Jordan Lyle at the Chattanooga Area Food Bank to get involved.

I am the executive director of SoundCorps, a startup nonprofit dedicated to building Chattanooga's music economy.
I've been playing guitar and singing since age 15 and have played in projects representing many genres: folk, alt. country, rock 'n roll, indie rock, tech-house, downtempo, shoegaze, electro, hip-hop and r&b.
Projects:
Stratton Tingle - my solo indie/electro/r&b project. I sing, play guitar, and use samples and other electronics to flesh out the sound.
